Privacy policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Cult & Crown collects through cultandcrown.com, why we collect it and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

The data controller is Cult & Crown, an independent online journal about watches in cinema. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Cult & Crown letter, we collect your email address, the date you subscribed, the page you subscribed from and the country your connection comes from (estimated by our hosting provider, never your precise location).

We use this data only to send you emails about new articles and Cult & Crown news. The legal basis is your consent, which you give when you submit the form and can withdraw at any time.

Browsing the site

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse. This is necessary to run the website and is based on our legitimate interest.

Where your data is stored

Newsletter sign-ups are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider. When we start using a dedicated newsletter service, we will move the list there and update this page with its name. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union under the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After that, we delete it, keeping at most a record that you asked not to be contacted again.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw your consent at any time. Just write to [email protected].

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
