Cult & Crown lives where cinema and watchmaking meet. We started on Instagram, rewatching films frame by frame to identify the watch on a character's wrist, and found that almost every choice tells a story: about the character, the era, the actor or the people working behind the camera.
What we publish
On Screen covers the real watch worn in a film and why it ended up there. Recast imagines the watch we would give a character today. The Collection builds a three-watch collection from pieces seen on screen, within a set budget. Features are the longer reads on the industry and its stories.
Independent by design
Our picks are editorial. When a piece is made in partnership with a brand, we say so clearly at the top of the article.
